America Can't Prove It Has the Gold
Fort Knox hasn't had a full independent audit since 1953. Congress just introduced a bill to force one. The Treasury says the gold's there. They just won't let anyone check.
THE STREETSLAW OF PROJECTION
WHAT'S HAPPENING
Congressman Thomas Massie introduced H.R. 3795, the Gold Reserve Transparency Act of 2025, in June 2025. Senator Mike Lee followed with a Senate version in November 2025. The bill would force the Government Accountability Office to physically inspect, weigh, and assay every US gold bar at Fort Knox, West Point, Denver, and the New York Fed. It would also demand disclosure of every gold lease, swap, loan, or sale over the past 50 years. The bill is still in committee.
YOUR WALLET
The US Treasury books its gold at $42.22 per ounce — a price set in 1973. At today's price near $4,700 per ounce, the actual market value of America's 261 million troy ounces is approximately $1.2 trillion. That gap between the book value and reality sits on the same balance sheet that backs the dollar in your wallet and your savings account. UK savers: gold is now £3,007 per ounce today — up from under £1,000 a decade ago.
YOUR WILL
Law of Projection: the Treasury insists the gold is there and calls any doubt a conspiracy theory. That's the move. When an institution can't show its work, it projects the burden of proof onto the person asking the question. You start doubting yourself instead of doubting them. The fact that the bill exists at all means people with security clearances and congressional access are asking the same question you are. That's not paranoia. That's pattern recognition.
THE MOVE
The Sovereign One doesn't hold the Treasury's word as collateral. Step 6: Internal Intelligence Agency. The most expensive deceptions aren't sold to you from outside — they're the ones you've been trained not to question. When an institution refuses to verify what it claims to hold on your behalf, that refusal is the data.

France Pulled Its Gold Out of New York and Made £11 Billion Doing It
The Banque de France quietly sold 129 tonnes of gold held at the US Federal Reserve and bought it back in Paris. France's entire 2,437-tonne reserve is now home for the first time since the 1920s.
THE JUNGLELAW OF THE LANDLORD
WHAT'S HAPPENING
Between July 2025 and January 2026, the Banque de France sold 129 tonnes of gold stored at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York across 26 separate transactions, then used the proceeds to buy modern, exchange-compliant bars in Europe — storing them in its underground vault in Paris. The operation generated a capital gain of €12.8 billion, roughly £11 billion. Governor François Villeroy de Galhau called it 'not politically motivated.' France, the Netherlands, and Germany have all moved gold away from US custody since mid-2025.
YOUR WALLET
France's move matters because of what it signals, not just what it did. Gold now makes up 27% of global central bank reserves versus 22% for US Treasuries — gold has overtaken US government debt as the world's second reserve asset. The dollar's share of global foreign exchange reserves has fallen to 56.9% in Q3 2025, its lowest level since 1995. When the people who set the global monetary rules start treating US custody as a risk, the premium on physical gold held in your own name rises with it.
YOUR WILL
Law of the Landlord: whoever holds the asset sets the terms. For 70 years, the US Federal Reserve was the landlord of the world's gold. France, quietly and profitably, ended that arrangement. The average person doesn't feel this directly — yet. But when central banks stop trusting each other's custody, the cost of that distrust filters down through currency values, import prices, and the purchasing power of your wages. The landlord changed. The tenants haven't noticed.
THE MOVE
The Sovereign One watches where the smart money physically moves — not where it says it's moving. Step 7: The Nuclear Option. Power doesn't belong to the person seated at the table but to the one who can leave it without asking. France left the table. The Governor said it wasn't political. The £11 billion gain said otherwise.

Paper Gold Is Cracking Under the Weight of People Wanting the Real Thing
COMEX — the New York exchange where gold futures are traded — is seeing delivery requests hit record highs. The paper gold system was built on the assumption that almost nobody would ever ask for actual metal. They're asking.
THE CASINOLAW OF THE TRAP
WHAT'S HAPPENING
Gold futures are contracts — paper promises to deliver gold. Historically, around 98% were settled in cash; almost nobody asked for physical delivery. That's changing. In October 2025, COMEX set an all-time record of 197.5 tonnes of physical gold delivered in a single month — more than five times the historical average. In June 2026, 38,600 contracts were set for physical settlement, equivalent to 120 tonnes. Meanwhile, COMEX warehouse inventory surged 153% between December 2024 and March 2025 as traders flew gold in from London, Dubai, and Hong Kong to cover the gap.
YOUR WALLET
The mechanism here is the paper-to-physical ratio. Around 109 ounces of paper gold trade on COMEX for every one ounce of physical gold available for delivery. When more people demand real bars, the gap between the paper price and the physical price widens. In early 2025, COMEX futures traded at over $20 per ounce above London spot — a premium that reflects physical scarcity. For UK and US retail buyers, that premium shows up as higher prices on coins, bars, and gold ETFs that hold allocated metal.
YOUR WILL
Law of the Trap: the trap is the system you didn't know you were inside. Most retail investors who 'own gold' own a futures-linked ETF or an unallocated account — a paper claim on gold that doesn't exist in a specific bar with their name on it. When institutions start demanding physical delivery, that paper price and the physical price can diverge. The retail investor assumes they own the same thing as the person holding a bar in a vault. They don't. They own a position in a system that's currently being stress-tested.
THE MOVE
The Sovereign One knows the difference between owning gold and owning a number that tracks gold. Step 4: Build the Strategic Reserve. Margin isn't idle resource — it's the breathing room where genuine leverage lives. If your 'gold holding' can't be physically delivered to you, it's not a reserve. It's a bet that the paper system holds. That bet is getting more expensive to make.
